international roaming alert

Since 30 September 2007, when entering another EU member state, every mobile phone user must automatically be informed by SMS of the roaming tariffs that apply when making and receiving voice calls within the country visited. This regulation has been initiated by the European Regulators Group (ERG) to enhance market transparency. CM Technology’s International Roaming Alert Service enables M(V)NOs or MVNEs to comply with this regulation.

Mobile phone users that enter another EU Member State will be notified by SMS of costs for calling - and optionally for SMS, MMS and other data communication services - on the visiting network when:

• an end-user connects to a visiting network;
• an end-user sends the text to .

M(V)NO or MVNE sends:

• Operator code;
• MSISDN.

to CM Technology. CM Technology will send the applicable tariffs to the MSISDN.

<KEYWORD> is the word to be determined that implicates a tariff request from an end-user.

<SHORTCODE> is the short number on the SMS platform that is to be used for tariff requests from M(V)NO end-users.
